The Foam Runner looked like a joke when it leaked and became one of the most copied shoe designs of the century within two years. Molded in one piece from EVA blended with algae-derived foam, with sculpted vents like something grown rather than made, it created the "clog moment" that Crocs, Merrell and countless knockoffs rode after.
