The story of the Gel-Lyte III
The 1990 Gel-Lyte III is famous for one strange, brilliant idea: a split tongue that hugs the foot from both sides. Ronnie Fieg's collaborations from 2011 onward, especially the Salmon Toe, turned it into the boutique-collab icon of its era and helped build KITH. The GLIII remains ASICS's most storied lifestyle silhouette.
