The story of the Air Jordan 4 Retro
Tinker Hatfield's 1989 follow-up to the 3 added mesh netting, plastic wing eyelets and a sculpted midsole, giving the Air Jordan 4 a tougher, more technical look. Jordan hit "The Shot" over Craig Ehlo in the 4, and Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing put the Cement pair on Buggin' Out's feet, driving the shoe deep into street culture. The 4 has become arguably the most collaboration-friendly Jordan: Travis Scott, Off-White, Union, KAWS and A Ma Maniere have all delivered coveted takes. Staple retros like Bred, White Cement and Military Blue sell out on every return.
