The story of the Air Jordan 6 Retro

The Air Jordan 6 of 1991 is the shoe Michael Jordan wore to win his first NBA championship, and the image of him clutching the trophy in the Infrared pair is one of basketball's defining photos. Tinker Hatfield gave it a rubber tongue with two holes, a reinforced toe inspired by German sports cars, and a clean spoiler-like heel pull. The Infrared and Carmine colorways anchor every retro cycle, and Travis Scott's 2019 olive pair with its hidden stash pocket brought a new generation in. The 6 balances history and wearability better than almost any Jordan.
