The story of the Air Max 97

Christian Tresser's Air Max 97 introduced full-length visible Air wrapped in rippling metallic lines inspired by mountain-bike frames and water droplets, though the Japanese bullet train story stuck as its nickname. The Silver Bullet original was huge in Italy, where it became a fashion staple decades before the 2017 anniversary reissue turned it into a global bestseller. Reflective piping makes it glow at night. Sean Wotherspoon's corduroy 97 hybrid, one of the most beloved collabs ever, cemented the model's modern legend.
