The story of the Air Trainer 1
Tinker Hatfield invented the cross-trainer with the 1987 Air Trainer 1, a shoe designed to handle weights, court and track in one session. Its midfoot strap and chunky build became iconic when Bo Jackson, the ultimate two-sport athlete, made it his own. John McEnroe wore it on tour too. The Chlorophyll and Medicine Ball colorways are gym-culture artifacts, and Travis Scott's takes reintroduced the Trainer to a new audience.
