The story of the Blazer Mid ’77
The Blazer was Nike's first basketball shoe, worn by George Gervin in the 1970s, its name a nod to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Mid '77 trim leans into vintage: exposed foam tongue, cracked-look Swoosh and off-white midsole. Skate culture kept the Blazer alive through Lance Mountain and Nike SB, then sacai's deconstructed double-everything version and Off-White's Grim Reaper made it a fashion object. It remains the easiest way to wear authentic 70s Nike.
