The story of the Vomero 5

A maximal-cushion runner from 2009, the Vomero 5 was rediscovered by fashion around 2022 as the perfect "wrong shoe": layered mesh, plastic cages and silvery tones that read as effortlessly Y2K. Stylists and celebrities made it the thinking person's dad shoe, and Nike leaned in with a stream of muted colorways like Photon Dust. It's now one of Nike's biggest lifestyle sellers, a genuine second life for a forgotten trainer.
