The story of the 2002R

The 2002 was a $250 flagship runner in 2010 that faded quietly; the 2002R revival of 2021 turned it into a phenomenon. The Protection Pack, with its deliberately raw, cut-away suede panels, became one of the most influential sneaker designs of the decade and won Shoe of the Year honors. Refined, cushioned and endlessly colorable, the 2002R is modern New Balance's biggest new franchise.
