The story of the Kobe 6 Protro

Kobe Bryant's sixth signature, launched for the 2010-11 season, wrapped his low-top revolution in scaled, snakeskin-textured rubber, a literal Black Mamba skin. The Grinch pair he wore on Christmas 2010 became one of basketball's most famous shoes. Protro reissues, Kobe's own concept of retro plus performance improvements, returned the 6 in 2020 with updated cushioning. Since Kobe's passing, every release honors his legacy, with the Mambacita editions supporting his family's foundation, and pairs sell out in seconds.
