The story of the Sk8-Hi

The 1978 Sk8-Hi added ankle padding to the Old Skool formula for skaters tired of shin bruises. It became the silhouette of choice for generations of skate video parts and, later, for style icons from Tyler, the Creator to countless K-pop idols. The black-and-white high top is a whole aesthetic in two materials.
